The first coat is the Cocoon Coat (Verlaine, $699.00, available at 219 Mulberry, NYC and K3, Japan) and to me it would be the perfect coat to wear over a slinky dress when you are going somewhere fancy, but don’t want to freeze to death, and it’s made out of wool and angora so you know it’s warm and feels good against your skin. The camel coat is by Club Monaco ($595.00). Love that there is something and masculine and vintagy about it, but still very relaxed. It’s perfect to throw over just about anything on your way to anywhere.
How hot is this coat? Love the tailoring, the texture and the color (Toni Francesc, $795.00, available at The Sunday Brunch, 20 West St. #18F, NYC). This is the perfect coat to wear to work. It would look good with wide leg pants, skinny pants, over a fitted dress, or a pencil skirt.
The drama of this collar is fantastic. How fabulous would you be walking around with the collar buttoned up over your head like that? This coat is so versatile it could be worn just about anywhere: in the city, to work, in the country with riding boots, running errands- it can hide your dirty hair (Study, $360.00, available at International Playground, NYC)!
